District 9660 Public Speaking Competition 2025-26
This is a variation of the original plan.

All clubs are encouraged to support this competition. Give our youth a voice!
The final of this competition is a highlight of the Showcase

Club Organisation

Due to the Regionalisation pilot, the committee has suggested that we trial the following for the area finals:
Clubs will be organised into geographically friendly groups (refer page 4). The organisation of the competition will be:

Round 1: Club competition – Each club conducts its own Public Speaking competition with participants from their local school and chooses a winner who progresses to

Round 2: Each of the nine clusters of clubs join together for a competition to choose ONE winner who will progress to

Round 3: The Cluster winners will participate in the District semi finals as follows –District Semi Finals in Tamworth on 18 October 2025. Potentially 9 students – one from each cluster.
Four will be selected to go through to

Round 4: District Final which will be held at Showcase which will be in Coffs Harbour on 23 November 2025

A volunteer from a club in each cluster needed to host Round 2. The committee would like to hear from clubs who would be willing to host one night of public speaking.

This could be face to face as the participants live close together or by zoom.
The final at Showcase will be organised by the district committee.
Rotaract clubs and Interact clubs are welcome to nominate students to participate.
