WARMTH WITHOUT WALLS:

The ongoing warm autumn can make it easy to forget that winter is around the corner and with-it tough times for the homeless in our community. Rotary is partnering with the Salvation Army and CALM Inc to try to make these months ahead a bit warmer for those in need.

We are asking for community members who may have spare, clean and good quality blankets, swags, sleeping bags, small tents or warm coats to donate these. We will hold a collection evening at Bonnell’s Bay Community Center on 6^th May – 6pm to 7:30pm. Please call in to drop off any of the above items or call in to help us sort and pack. We’ll have some pizza on offer to keep us fuelled up and we would love to meet you.

We are then holding a distribution day on the 16^th May at Rotary Park in Morisset for these Winter Warmers to be collected. More details will be on our facebook page closer to the time.  This is a great opportunity to provide support that is sustainable and environmentally friendly.
