As Rotarian’s we love a good community agricultural show, even more than a sausage sizzle. It’s an opportunity to connect with our community, to sell some raffle tickets and to have some fun. This year was no exception. Some of us supported the Show with parking duties others ran the Rotary Stall. We had a raffle where the first prize was a $300 cash debit card and the second a $100 Bunning voucher. The money raised will go towards the Care Packs for women in need that are distributed through CALM Inc and the Bonnels Bay Salvation Army.
This year we had the honour to celebrate with Dan Repacholi MP in his Big Shave for Charity with a donation of $1000. The funds will be split between the Mark Huges Foundation (50%), The Royal Flying Doctors Service (25%) and Care Flight (25%). Dan attended the stall and was very appreciative of the works of Rotary in the Community and supporting these three amazing charities. He particularly liked the AI image of what he will look like post the Big Shave. Please talk to us if you would like to know more about Rotary in your local community.
