We are aiming to supply desperately needed school and hospital equipment to the Island of Vava’u in Tonga.
Providing Urgently Needed Equipment To Tonga
In a partner project with East Maitland Rotary Club we visited the Island of Vava’u Tonga in September this year to understand what school/hospital equipment is desperately needed.
Vava’u is a group of Islands about an hour off the coast of Tonga around the Port of Refuge. It’s famous for still being able to swim with migrating whales.
We visited some schools which were in desperate need of equipment…. tables, chairs,science equipment and lockable storage, teachers desks, bookcases etc.
We also visited the hospital and saw items which our clubs had already donated in use which was fantastic.
