Morisset Rotary Club helps physically and financially with local and international community projects and fundraising activities for projects with sustainable, measurable outcomes in Rotary’s areas of focus which include promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education and growing local economies.

Please consider contributing to the following local and international projects. Each is carefully evaluated and assessed for sustainability.

It’s very important to understand that 100% of your donation will go to support the project of your choice. Morisset Rotary is a not-for-profit, voluntary organisation that has zero administrative costs and guarantees your money works it’s hardest on the ground.

Laptops For Morisset High School - The "Laptop Project"

Laptops For Morisset High School (The “Laptop Project”) aims to address the impact on the years, the academic performance and socialisation for high school students since the end of the Australian Government’s laptop roll out. At Morisset High School, 38% of students have no digital access for homework, and only 25% have their own device.

This project aims to deliver technology to students in need, and ensure all Morisset High students have sole use of a laptop for their studies. For more information, visit this project’s page, or get in touch.

Aussie Ark Environmental Sustainability

Morisset Rotary works alongside the rangers to remove invasive weeds (Scotch Broom) from animal enclosures to improve the environment and breeding conditions for Tasmanian Devils, Spotted Quolls, Long Nose Pottaroos and other macropod species. These species are all endangered in the wild, and Aussie Ark is working to establish insurance populations.

In addition, Morisset Rotary is a key supporter of Aussie Ark’s “Save The Broad Toothed Rat from Extinction” project. The Broad Tooth Rat, also known as Tooarrana is found only in the NSW Barrington Region & is facing imminent extinction, due to habitat decline, fire and
feral animals. This project supports Aussie Ark to establish the first ever breeding population for genetic diversity & to study their habits & behavioural traits with the view to being released into their enclosed & protected sanctuary at Barrington Tops.
